A Tutorial in the Fine Art of Presenting

In a pretend scene, let's say you were giving away $5,000 of your own cash. You would be rich and successful and probably want to do it with elegance and charm. For example, you might warmly greet the recipient, look her in the eyes, shake her hand enthusiastically, compliment her accomplishments and then gracefully bestow the cash wrapped in a rich blue velvet pouch with a red rose on it. You would then bow gallantly and exit without falling on your face. The cash would immortalize the moment but the elegant delivery and heartfelt approach would long be appreciated after the cash was gone.

If you are like us, you don't have the budget to be giving away $5,000 to make others happy. However, you probably do have a small budget to buy awards from Aaron's for a few dollars each and recognize fine work from the many achievers, donors, employees, team members, volunteers and helpers in your professional life.

However, you won't want to throw the plaque in the mail, drop it on a doorstep or sail it though a window. You will want to use the elegance and charm that our fictional person above used to give away $5,000 of his cash.

You might greet the donor in a friendly manner, look her in the eyes, shake her hand while heartily thanking her for her generosity or accomplishments and then you bestow a long lasting beautifully personalized recognition plaque on her. The plaque immortalizes the moment and when she hangs it in her office, it will remind her and her friends and coworkers that she was appreciated and warmly and properly thanked for her special effort. It's only natural that this award will help her to continue to be special and to encourage others to be likewise.

With the other hand you present the flowers as you bow and then you say these flowers are to express the beautiful feelings you have for her.
