Certificate Assembly Tutorial (CAT)

Assembling certificate kits is fun and easy, and you will be proud of your creations of beauty. Determine which type of Certificate Kit you are assembling and follow instructions below.

CPC OR CAP, PLAQUE, AND TACKS (EASY TO ASSEMBLE)

(1) As you decide how your Certificate goes on the plaque (centered, horizontally, or vertically, etc.) make sure the key hole slot on back of plaque is toward the top and away from you.

(2) Wipe both sides of the polyethylene coverings of one Plastic Cover with the damp rag.  Peel protective cover off back side of the Plastic.

(3) Place your certificate on the back of the Plastic and align.

(4) Position the Plastic and Certificate on the plaque visually so that there are equal margins of plaque around all edges and hold down with a hand.

(5) Peel polyethylene covering back from one corner and hammer one tack in half way; correct the alignment of Plastic to document if necessary. Peel polythylene covering back from diagonally opposite corner and hammer second tack in half way; correct the alignment of cap to document if necessary. Drive the two tacks all the way in. Remove polythylene covering and hammer in two remaining tacks (Caution: do not hammer too hard or the Plastic corners may break). Wipe outer Plastic with damp rag.

TOP LOAD, PLAQUE, AND TAPE (EASIEST TO ASSEMBLE)

(1) As you decide how your document goes on the plaque (centered, horizontally, or vertically, etc), make sure the hole slot on back of the plaque is toward the top and away from you.

(2) Wipe both sides of the Top Load with damp rag.

(3) Cut 3 strips of 1/2" wide Double Faced Tape, about 1 inch shorter than the longest side of the Top Load. Peel off 1 side each of the 3 strips of tape and install onto one side of the Top Load. Put one strip of tape near each edge and one in the middle of the Top Load. Push down each piece of tape firmly.

(4) Peel off 1 side each of the 3 strips of tape already stuck to the Top Load. Position the Top Load on the plaque visually so that it has equal margins of plaque around all edges and its open is up or to the right. Press down with a hand along each piece of tape from the Top Load side.

(5) Place your certificate inside the installed Top Load.
